To commemorate the 2019 children's day, DHDC flagged off the "It’s time to get the children protected” awareness campaign which was tagged after 2019 world TB Day (It's Time), DHDC was part of making history through this strategic initiative of creating TB awareness amongst children. The closing ceremony of the campaign - distinguished by the attendance of Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, member representing Bende Federal Constituency, a representative from Lead Way Assurance and the wife of the Chairman of the Nigeria Parliamentary TB Caucus, focused on the role of relevant stake holders in mobilizing domestic resources for TB in Nigeria . DHDC reached out to hundreds of school children within 5 days who are now TB advocates through a team of young, dedicated and vibrant Medical doctors, young professionals and well-meaning Nigerians. The schools that participated in this campaign are: 1. Deo-gratias group of schools Garki II Abuja. 2. Redeemer Teap International School. 3. VineCare Nursery and Primary School. 4. Government day secondary school Wuse II Abuja. 5. Harvest Time Academy. 6. Abuja Children Book Club. This activity was supported by LeadWay Assurance, Cliff and Helixor Pharmaceuticals and we also recieved donations from well meaning Nigerians.
